All storylines and variants with Gabe can be explored with multiple people! I love this character and want to explore them like a real comic character, going through many eras and stories and such with different co-writers each time

Biography

It always starts the same

⚚ He/They/She⚚ 5’5.5”⚚ Age varies depending on rp
Generally 21 - 40 range⚚ White, American⚚ Gabe has an academic interest in religion, philosophy, and mythology.⚚ This combination of interests led Gabe to go into college with a custom double major: Religious Studies and Heroic Studies. Gabe is one of the first dedicated Super-Hero Scholars⚚ Gabe is very queer, with a complicated relationship to sexuality and gender.⚚ As a very general rule, Gabe is attracted to masculine presenting people, though there’s a LOT of nuance and flexibility here.⚚ Gabe plays around with presentation, and I will use both masculine and feminine images for them. Their anatomy doesn’t matter, and often changes based on my mood⚚ Gabriel tends to dress formally and wear a lot of black. They have many piercings and a pair of very intense blue eyes⚚ Gabriel was born with a muscle strength disorder. This causes weakness in their legs, along with frequent flareups that lead to days where Gabe uses a wheelchair or a cane

Marvel Variants

⚚ Hydra
Gabriel was coerced to join Hydra. He had a simple job, he was a handler. He kept things together. Cleaned things, kept records, (often kept the Winter Soldier company). Before escaping and going into hiding⚚ Black Cat
There are an incredible amount of variants of Spider-Man out there, and with them, variants of his Rogues Gallery. This gender fluid version of Black Cat is cunning, and steals items of mystical significance⚚ Gabriel Storm
Susan Storm is a legend. The Jackal is a monster, but a genius genetic scientist. The Jackal created 12 clones of Sue Storm, before unceremoniously abandoning them. Gabriel Storm was one of them⚚ Gabriel Stacy
This version of Gwen Stacy was transported through a portal before dying in high school. That harrowing experience teaches a person a lot. Firstly, that this Stacy is gender fluid, and they change their name to Gabe. But, it allowed Gabe to grow up and go to university! Now Peter Parker keeps seeing a hauntingly familiar face, and Gabe has to remember that this isn’t their Peter.

Storylines

Street LevelDaredevil and Archangel
Everyone needs a friend. Daredevil may usually work alone, but after Gabe learns of Matt’s identity, they decide to join Daredevil in his vigilantism as an angel themed counterpart: Archangel
Best with: Daredevil, Bullseye, Elektra
UNWRITTENI Hate This Bar
After a very intense four years of partying his way through university, trying to fill the void in him with boys and booze, Gabe is kicked from his family funds. To keep himself afloat, he gets a job at a shitty rundown bar on the wrong side of town, and lives in a small apartment (attic) above it. There he ends up meeting an anti-hero and becoming surprisingly close with them
Best with: Punisher!! Caine Parker, Wolverine, Morbius
UNWRITTENSpider-man SphereGwen = Felicia
This plot is specifically for Black Cat Gabe
The white haired thief known as Black Cat is revealed to secretly be Gabe Stacy. (This can either be because Felicia took on a new name and trained Gabe, or because the Felicia identity was fully fabricated as a new life after Stacy “died”)
Best with: Spider-man
UNWRITTENAvengersCosmic Angel
The Cosmic Cube has been shattered, and its pieces have ended up all across the world. One shard has ended up in the hands of Gabriel Michaels, who is being hunted.
Who’s hunting him? How did he get the shard? What is he doing with it?
That’s all explored in the story, (idk tbh) but at the end Gabe becomes a hero empowered by the cube known as the Cosmic Angel
Best with: Anyone, honestly
UNWRITTENWhite Moth
Seemingly out of nowhere, a new hero emerges that seems to be able to shrink and grow just like Ant-Man and Wasp. This hero wears all white and goes by White Moth, having the extra ability to summon flashes of light!
It’s later revealed that the hero is not in fact able to do these things naturally. Rather, the real person behind it all is a person named Gabe, and the small form is merely a drone.
Best with: Ant-Man, Wasp
UNWRITTENIron Angel
Gabriel Michaels donates a large sum of money to a recent new project Tony Stark is developing. Becoming a top investor, Gabe and Tony meet, and eventually even become friends.
Simultaneously, problems are arising in the form of random civilians turning to masked crime (most under guidance of Hobgoblin, who gives out all new, or revitalized versions of old supervillain identities).
It’s assumed Hobgoblin is responsible, and Gabe is given an Iron Man suit to help in the fight against the goblin, taking on the name Iron Angel.
But in a huge twist it’s revealed that Gabe is the mastermind, having used the Controller’s Mind Control Disks to orchestrate all of this in an effort to get his own iron man suit made.
Best with: Iron Man, War Machine, Iron Heart
UNWRITTENValkyrie
This one is pretty simple! Gabe dies at the end of a storyline, but is brought back from Hel by his friends, coming to Valhalla and becoming a Valkyrie who joins the other midguard-dwelling Asguardian heroes as the next to hold the title of Valkyrie
Best with: Thor, Valkyrie, Loki, Hela
UNWRITTENBifrost Warrior
Hiemdall of Asgard is the guardian of the Rainbow Bridge that connects Asgard and the other realms. But something terrible has happened to him, and it’s opened up the need for another to take his place, or to share the responsibility with him. Gabe becomes that person.
Best with: Thor, Loki, Valkyrie, Hela
UNWRITTENLord Sif
The name Thor has become the title of a power certain Worthy people can wield. The best example of this is Jane Foster, aka Lady Thor.
What if Sif worked the same way? What if Gabe became Lord Sif, a counterpart to Lady Thor?
There’s also potential storylines with similar themes, Helm of Loki and Worthy where Gabe gets the power of Loki or Thor respectively. I like the idea of a storyline where Gabe gets the power of Thor, and Thor ascends to the power of Odin, potentially as a sequel to the storyline The New Godbutcher
Best with: Thor, Lady Thor, Sif, Loki, Valkyrie, Hela
UNWRITTENThe New GodButcher
A scorned or corrupted Gabe takes out his fury at the divine beings, stealing the Godslayer Sword and becoming the successor to Gore. Gabe, the New GodButcher.
Best with: Thor, Loki, Lady Thor, Valkyrie, Hela, Sif
UNWRITTENSphynx
Gabe is granted the mystical powers of a Sphynx thanks to a mysterious godly force
Best with: Black Panther, Moon Knight
UNWRITTENZodiac
Gabe is empowered by the stars, but his powers are hard to control, and seem to shift every night. Each of his powers align to one of the zodiac signs.
This could in theory be a sequel to the Cosmic Angel storyline, where Gabe could reunite the 12 fractured pieces of the Cosmic Cube and that’s where the Zodiac power comes from
Best with: Moon Knight, Cloak and Dagger, A lot of vaguely musical heroes
UNWRITTENHellcat 2
Gabe ends up with The Cat suit, becoming the successor to Hellcat!
Alternatively, he could have his own suit custom made and become Persian or Angelcat, a divine, angelic equivalent to Patsy’s Hellcat
Best with: Hellcat, Black Panther, Avengers characters, Street level characters
UNWRITTENX-Men SphereAngel and Halo
This is specifically for Lightweaver Gabe
After Gabe learns about his mutant gene, he joins the X-Men, becoming friends with many team members, but specifically becoming close with Warren. So close, in fact, that they have adventures in a hypothetical team-up book called Angel and Halo, where Gabe takes on the hero name “Halo” because whenever he uses his powers, a radiant halo appears around his head. Potentially also there could be a sequel arc where Warren becomes Archangel, and Gabe takes on the hero name Angel in his honor
Best with: Angel
UNWRITTENX-Machina
This is specifically for Lightweaver Gabe
Potentially as a sequel to Angel and Halo, after discovering his mutant gene and joining the X-Men Gabe took on the name Lightweaver. Eventually, he discovers new heights in his ability to manipulate photons. Specifically, he can tap into the photon duality principle, and use a sort of ultimate ability, teleporting himself and his team when the need arises, though at huge risk to himself. He takes on the name X-Machina in honor of his new ability, and is tasked with leading a new team with the same name. (Specifically comprised of religion and mythology themed X-Men)
Best with: Angel, Nightcrawler, Magik, Storm, Phoenix, Hope, Exodus, Colossus, Madeline Prior, Apocalypse
UNWRITTENMagic SphereLight and Dark of Vishante
Gabe becomes interested in the arcane arts, eventually becoming one half of a yin/yang duo
Best with: Dr. Strange, Dr Voodoo, Other Magic users
UNWRITTENGabe: The Demonspawn
Potentially a sequel to Light and Dark of Vishante that delves more into Gabe’s origin
Gabe was a demon born in Limbo, a direct descendant of Belasco, original ruler of Limbo.
In a story that is a reflection of Magik’s, as a baby Gabe was taken from the dark plane, saved by an unknown figure (one who later turns out to be XY) and brought to Earth where he was raised by the Michaels family.
Later on, Gabe unlocks an incredible potential for magic and arcane ability.
Many years go by, and eventually he has an adventure with Magik and the X-Men, possibly starting with her saving him, and him explaining why he was in magical danger, roping her in on the quest he was on.
They become friends, and Gabe, as it turns out, has an inherent connection to the Soul Sword; feeling drawn to it, studying it wielding it, and even becoming it at different points in the comic, each with various levels of drama with Magik.
After the two fight Belasco, they learn of Gabe’s origin when Belasco pushes Gabe into his own Darkchylde form!
(There could be a thing here about the light and dark of vishante thing having been wrong. Gabe’s other half isn’t the man he’s def not in love with, it’s Magik. The Darkchylde and the Lightchylde, though they both go back and forth between which is which)
Technically, Gabe doesn’t have a soul, being a demonspawn, which is part of the reason why he’s so connected to the soul sword. Later an idea could even be explored of him being a human incarnation OF the soul sword as another piece of him and magic being intrinsically linked, and functionally sharing a soul.
There’s also an arc that re-involves Witchfire, the other supposed child of Belasco. This could explore if Gabe really is his direct offspring, or if he’s a creation based on Magik. Or, even, if Witchfire (whether she’s a direct kid or not) is a sort of prototype of Gabe, and thus could have some drama or later arcs where she’s an antagonist in Gabe’s story
Whatever the case, inevitably there’s a comic in the magic side of Marvel, potentially even an incarnation of the Midnight Suns, where the team roster is Magik, Gabe, Witchfire, Darkhold, [Gabe’s lover magic guy], [Maybe a Ghost Rider and a romantic rival], [and maybe one more]. (With special guest appearances/occasional membership from Wiccan, Scarlet Witch, Agatha Harkness, [And more])
One of the story bookends would be Magik wielding the Soul Sword, Madelyn Pryor wielding the Scythe of Sorrows, Witchfire making her own “Shade Spear” with Gabe’s help, and creating the Council of Limbo. Perhaps the three of them, or four of them, could have their own comic together. One that explores Limbo, and its levels as a reference to Dante’s Inferno
Best with: Magik
UNWRITTENFantastic FourSeraph the Herald, Rapture the World Eater
Gabe hatches a secret plan to defeat Galactus once and for all after his most recent attack, and in the process save Galactus’ current herald.
Step one of this plan has her pledging an oath and replacing the current Herald, becoming Seraph, the newest Herald of Galactus.
There’s time for multiple storylines while Gabe is known as Seraph and she’s going through the many steps in her plan,
But eventually Seraph makes a grand return, finally on her last step. She’s learned that mortal beings cannot kill Galactus. He’s too strong. Only Galactus can kill Galactus, really. But what a mortal can do is steal his power.
Seraph replaces Galactus, ascending to become Rapture the World Eater.
Rapture then pledges to do what she planned to do, and take out this terrible force of destruction once and for all. She’s going to starve herself.
There’s potential for a lot of storylines with Rapture, including many where Gabe is saved and brought back to a normal status quo with the ramifications of Rapture being explored. There’s also a potential sequel storyline called Return of Rapture where Rapture and the heroes of earth face off against a Celestial
Best with: Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four, Tony Stark, Thor
UNWRITTENMCUNew World
This is an MCU oriented storyline
After Captain America is unfrozen, he needs guidance. He needs a friend to help him navigate the insane modern world he’s been thrown into. That person is Gabe. The two meet just a couple of months after Steve unfreezes, and they grow close as they reach each other about the eras they come from. Gabe eventually becomes a SHIELD agent, and then together they go through the events of the MCU
Best with: Steve Rogers

DC Variants

⚚ Ace of Spades
The Royal Flush Gang is a title held by many a group of people in Gotham City, but its newest incarnation is a far cry from the pitiful goons that previously held the title. The Royal Flush Gang is now the elite henchmen for the clowns of Gotham (Joker or Punchline, depending on the RP), and Ace is the strategist. While they’re not often seen on the field, when they are, they’re a huge problem, as they have access to Bane’s venom, Joker and Punchline’s toxins, and somehow Miraclo pills. Any combination of those three makes this fighter super-human.⚚ Safehouse Guardian
The Justice Society of America was one of the first really notable teams of super-powered beings dedicated to helping out the people of the world. A lot of heavy hitters were in that group. The first Flash, Wonder Woman, the first earthly Green Lantern, and more. One member was the light-manipulator, Guardian. Guardian was great friends with Wonder Woman, but died early in combat. Her line lives on though, and her granddaughter, Gabe, has reconnected to Wonder Woman and the League, now serving as one of the few non-heroes allowed in the Watchtower. Gabe serves as the sort of Alfred of the whole League, and is also in charge of multiple safe houses scattered in major cities across the country; houses used for when a hero is in desperate need of assistance, hiding, or healing.⚚ Gabriel Fries
Nora Fries is gone. Victor, aka Mr Freeze, refuses to acknowledge that he’ll never find a cure for her. But her legacy lives on in her niece Gabriel.
(Sometimes this is combined with Ace of Spades Gabe)

Storylines

Bruce’s Rival
Based in more grounded DC media like The Batman 2022
Gabe is a socialite, much like Mr. Bruce Wayne, but he has a nihilism Bruce doesn’t. Gabe becomes a sort of Bruce Wayne antagonist, challenging his ideals and starting to notice Bruce’s habits of disappearing when Batman shows up.
Eventually, Batman and Gabe start a romance, while Bruce and Gabe are still in a sort of rivalry. All this while Gabe is putting together/is keeping it secret that he knows Batman’s identity.
Best with: Bruce Wayne
UNWRITTENThe Phantasm
Best as a sequel to the Bruce’s Rival storyline, this has a simple premise. What if Gabe took on the name of The Phantasm like Andrea did in the animated Batman film “Mask of the Phantasm?”
Best with: Batman
UNWRITTENThe Hunter
Gabe becomes the heroic response to The Cheetah; a mortal blessed by a goddess, in this case Artemis, specifically to aid Diana in hunting and stopping Cheetah.
Best with: Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl, Nubia
UNWRITTENThrall of The Gods
In an effort to fight against the growing number of people capable of wielding the Wonder Woman title, Aries manipulates other Grecian gods to create thralls that can challenge the Wonder Woman family. One of these is Gabe.
(This is potentially a sequel to The Hunter)
Best with: Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman Family
UNWRITTENGodspeed
Gabe is a speed force user who, due to their disability, is unable to run. So they end up amassing speed force energy within them overtime like a battery. This can then be used to amplify the powers of speedsters, or even give non-speedsters access to flash-like powers for a limited time!
(Potentially, this story could have a sequel or a climax where Gabe amasses too much Speedforce energy and basically becomes the speed force)
Best with: Barry Allen, Wally West, Other speedsters
UNWRITTENKryptonite God
Based in more grounded DC media like The Batman 2022
When Kryptonian(s) with godlike powers start appearing, a very jaded Gabriel Michaels finally finds inspiration. They become fascinated with the question “What truly is the difference between a Kryptonian and an angel?” And furthermore “How can a mortal kill an angel? How could a mortal kill a god?” Thus becoming an obsessive threat
Best with: Superman, Superboy, Supergirl
UNWRITTENThe Keeper of the White Rings
While not a ring-wielder himself, Gabe has been trusted with hiding the power of the white rings. They were given to an Earthling because earth has so many lantern guardians, but they were given to Gabe because he’s not an obvious choice
Best with: Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Jessica Cruz, Guy Gardener, Kyle Reiner, Simon Baz, Alan Scott, Jo Mullein
UNWRITTENBefore Hawk-Girl
Hawkman is famous for reincarnating. A warrior. Sometimes a king. Destined to fall in love with the same beautiful woman in every lifetime.
But what if, before he met her, he fell in love with someone else? What happens when he falls for someone other than Hawk Girl?
Is that someone fated to die early? Fated to be just a hurdle before Hawkman’s destiny kicks in?
Best with: HawkMan, Hawkgirl
UNWRITTENThe New Dove
Gabe becomes the next Dove in the Hawk and Dove legacy duo.
This could in theory be a part of a storyline with Hawkman, where the duo becomes Hawkman and Dove
Best with: Hawkman, Hawk, Dove, HawkGirl
UNWRITTENCoven of Two
Gabe becomes close with Dr. Fate, and together they face off against more and more terrifying rogues, until eventually Gabe develops magic of his own! And they face off against a Lord of Chaos!
(I actually have SO MUCH thought out for this one. I might write a fic just because I like it so much)
Best with: Dr. Fate!! Zatanna, Justice League Dark
UNWRITTENGabriel and Vandal
Gabe is seduced by Vandal Savage’s promises of ancient knowledge and temporarily joins his side.
In theory, eventually, he would likely be convinced to become a double agent working against Savage, and making up with the heroes
Best with: Justice League, Vandal Savage
UNWRITTENSister of Ivy
Gabe nearly dies in a Gotham attack, and needs a miracle desperately. But rather then bring her to the Lazarus pit, she’s brought to Poison Ivy for help. Using Ivy’s connection to the Green, and making a deal with her, Gabe is reborn, and becomes Venus, sister of Poison Ivy.
There’s potential for a lot of storylines using this! Including two possible upgrades for Venus. At some point she could take on the name “Angel Venus” and then later the name Venus Acidalia (an epithet for the Roman goddess Venus that translates to “Venus of love’s arrow,” a version of the goddess specifically referring to love that aches). Perhaps there could even be an arc where Venus Acidalia is the main love interest of one of the bat family members, and they briefly embody/take on an epithet of Mars, the mythical lover of Venus.
Best with: Jason Todd, Batman, Poison Ivy, Nightwing, Tim Drake, Harley Quin
UNWRITTENLady Freeze
This is specific to the Gabriel Fries storyline
Gabe reconnects with her uncle, Victor, and becomes his apprentice, filled with her own thirst for vengeance… and some secret motivations of her own.
(Potentially, there could be a longer storyline where Gabe reconnects with Victor, becomes Ace of Spades, and then later Victor is impressed with Ace’s abilities and decides to take her on as an apprentice. Potentially ending in Gabe taking the name “King Freeze” or “Queen Freeze” as a mix of their card motif and their icy legacy)
Best with: Batman, Mr. Freeze, Bat Family

Michaels

⚚ The Michaels family is known for being smart, busy, pale, and rich.⚚ Gabriel Michaels is an only child. They have a few cousins, one on their mother’s side, two on their father’s side, but no siblings⚚ Gabe barely knows their parents. Named after two archangels, there were high expectations for Gabe from the start. A gifted kid who soared in academics but was largely ignored by their parents. Not a unique case.
